The exhilaration after the finish was a dopamine overload. There have been crowd pleasers before, but when Mike Smith brought her back before the crowds after a race and let her ‘salute’ her audience, I swear she would throw her front leg out as if to say, ‘Oh, come on. You can do better than that. I am a superstar! You had better enjoy it now because you will never see one like me again.’ She definitely knew how to work the crowd.”
